MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY
2004 – My first digital shot. I was using an Olympus Digital Point and shoot. This was a brilliant accident as my flash coincided with the light set up and I was on slow shutter speed. Mon Legaspi had just recently left The Dawn to work in Hong Kong and this was Buddy Zabala’s first gig with the band at Aruba in Metrowalk.
It’s one of the photos that influenced me to pursue music photography. I was taking film shots prior to this but I didn’t think of them as a serious profession until later, so I’m sad I don’t have copies of the negatives. I might be able to ask for the photos I gave away and scan them, I guess when there’s time to track them down, I will.
