Light of Luna at the Red Horse Rakrakan XV Series

If there’s any band with the closest similarities in musical influences as I, it would be Light of Luna. In their info, they cite Smashing Pumpkins, Muse, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nirvana, and The Mars volta as just some of their influences. I may not not a musician but I do have my musical heroes too. I try to find inspiration wherever possible. If you listen to Light of Luna, you’ll be blown away by their intricate melodic arrangements. Light of Luna‘s music’s foundation is heavy and layered with a ton of ethereal complexities.

I’ve known the singer Jhunter for a while now. He even uploaded a video of his music using photos of Francis and I. I thought it was sweet actually, it’s called “In Your Return”. The photos were from a long time ago.

Light of Luna is a band from the province of Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija that was formed in 2005. The members are  Jhunter Alejandro (Guitar / Vocals), Alvin Perez (Bass) and Charlie Sin (drums).

I remember Francis had a guitar workshop in Nueva Ecija in 2009 and he immediately told me about this band. They joined Red Horse Muziklaban in 2010 and went on to become the champions that they so deserve to be.

See Light of Luna on January 28, 2012 at the Red Horse Muziklaban Grand Finals in Aseana City, Macapagal Ave. Let’s see who the top 5 finalists from all over the country will win the grand prize and the honor to be the 2011 Red Horse Beer Muziklaban Champions!
