Tears for Fears live in Manila

May 2, 2010 – Tears for Fears played a super sold out show at the Araneta Coliseum. It was so sold out that they had to sell standing room only tickets on all the different sections of the concert. The response was so overwhelming that the producers are considering a second show date for the band. However, Philippine Elections are in the way, so I don’t really know if that’ll push through. I hope so. I would definitely watch again.

Pupil Soundcheck before the NIN opening gig

With my trusty Lumix LX-3! I did not want to pull out my DSLR. I’m thankful I got a good shot of Ely anyway. One of my favorites now.
We hung out backstage and took some photos while the band was preparing for their gig.
The Legendary Pepe Smith

In 2007, I had the rare opportunity to photograph Pepe Smith at the Hotel Elizabeth in Baguio. I think I only had about 5 minutes to shoot him since there was a music camp going on in the venue and it was about to start. In cases like these, I always consider myself lucky, because at the end of it all, I get at least one good shot, while the rest are just icing on the cake. (Hey, I like icing!)
